I branched this discussion from the last one, as it seems like you're experiencing something different from the other people on the list. Were you successful in your latest install?
No. I still get the same error everyone is getting from the original discussion and "Programs and Features" also does not list Adobe Experience Design as an installed product.
I would be happy to provide a screen shot of the list of Adobe software that shows as installed.
Thanks for contacting me,
In fact, I have gone to the following locations on my computer and no files or folders show Adobe XD installed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe
Supposedly, XD is installed.
Does XD install to a different location?
Is there a download location to get XD and install it from an executable instead of through CC manager?

No, we don't install in a different directory of your other Adobe apps. You should use the Creative Cloud cleaner tool to resolve your issue: Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems . Let us know if it works!
Hi, I had the same issue and this is what I found out (might not be your issue, but here it goes!): XD was being installed or updated in my Dropbox drive. And every time this happened, I find XD in a folder called Material Design assets. Very strange. I am the only one with access to this comp, and there are no other users.
This has happened twice, and I cannot understand why! I had to use a Clean my Mac app and reinstall.
Hope this helps!
I apologize for not updating this thread.
I did use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool...three (3) times. I just left XD uninstalled.
Eventually, I allowed the Creative Cloud app to install XD again, but I did not try and use it for maybe two (2) months or more. When I did use it, everything was fine.
I am using it today!
Again, thanks for the suggestions,
