Hi,

Is there any way to remove a original number suffix from the filename of a large batch of photos using the Lightroom rename function?

At some point in my process of working on all of my files I have managed to cause Lightroom to add a suffix of "-2" to almost every file .

So "DSCI0001.jpg" has now become "DSCI0001-2.jpg" on everything in certain folders (about 23,000 photos roughly).

If I select {Filename} in the renaming function it still comes up with the "-2" on the end.

However, if I select {Original Number Suffix} it identifies it as a separate component of the filename.

Thanks!

Hi Hw,

The original suffix cannot be renamed until the Filename is different otherwise it will create duplicate files.See File rename options | Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC tutorials
