App saying "maximum number of layers reached for this device"???

      App Version: (64-bit)

      OS Version: 10.2
Device Model: iPad Air 1 (iPad4,1)
      User Memory: 721 MB
      Total Memory: 974 MB
      Free Disk Space: 20761 MB
      Total Disk Space: 26648 MB

My iPad keeps saying that I've reached the maximum number of layers for this device, and I've gone through and deleted old project and merged layers in older projects, and there are only 4 layers in the image I'm currently doing.

anyone know what could be causing this or what I can do to stop this from happening?

          Hi RJNash.

I just replied to your in-app feedback, but just in case you look here first...

It's because you're on an older device... the number of layers allowed is based on the device's ability to allocate memory.

I don't know what canvas format you've selected, but you can generally get more layers by choosing either a digital format or a print format that has a lower (final output) resolution.

I'm sorry it won't help you with your current project but it should help in the future.
