I've been making a zip folder for each respective vector jpeg preview pair, and I'm just wondering if it's possible to upload multiple pairs in a single zip, so as to be able to more conveniently upload a batch of vectors at once.

No, you must zip only one vector file with the matching preview file in the folder. Each vector must have it's own zipped folder.
