How did you create the PDF. Unless the PDF generator is adding meta data that points back to the original XML, then no, there is no method to go from an element in a PDF back to how it was created.
the generator is adding the metadata - so how do I do it?
Do you have a sample document that you can share?
attached is the pdf as well as 2 xml
the smaller xml is used as input to create the pdf and the master is the
master set of info used to create the smaller xml.
I have been tasked to test the creation of the pdf in the accuracy of
What happens is that the smaller xml is created and is the encrypted,
passed thru some sort of checking for the values and then decrypted to
something called driver.xml and its this (driver) xml that is used to
create the pdf
I've checked the non encrypted xml against the master. Now I'd like to
check that the pdf values correspond to their nodes in the pdf. I have
been reassured that the encrypting and decrypting will not make a
difference (but I will still check against them for exactness) but
essentially just want to make sure that the values in the xml and in
reference to their nodes are correct.
you cannot attach files to forum posts. You would have to upload your files to a site that allows sharing a link to your files. See here for example how to do that with Adobe's Document Cloud: Share Documents via Adobe's Document Cloud - KHKonsulting LLC
You could also use Dropbox, or a similar service.
I was just replying to an email just now Will google drive work?
