I want to compare template paragraph style properties with indesign document paragraph style property value. If any missmatch found then I want to generate log. But indesign has around 525 propertis for single paragraph style. Is there any easy way to compare this? Is it possible to get Paragraph style setting window value highlighted in yellow?
Thanks & Regards,
Hi Senthivel S,
no there is no easy way.
Last time I counted there were around 334 first class properties where some like isValid and id should not be compared.
For some properties you have to dig even deeper if you like a valid comparison. Nested Styles or GREP Styles, also others…
See e.g. Kasyan Servetsky's script to write properties and values of a paragraph style to CSV:
Maybe you could exploit an exported IDMS snippet of a text frame holding formatted text?
