I'm trying to use images to replace Flash animations when
visitors view my site on mobile devices that don't yet support
Flash. I've noticed Adobe, Yahoo!, and others use this approach.
I've tried background images but they don't show (no surprise).
I wasn't sure if this was an ActionScript question or a
Dreamweaver question, so I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.
I think what you want is SWFObject. It is the very best way
to embed Flash
on a page, and will show no-flash content if Flash can't be
played. It's how
you do SEO for Flash sites too - the spiders see the no flash
can be normal html / php / etc.
