That's great to hear it worked for you.

FYI, you can run OCR using these steps: Tools> Text Recognition> "In this file"> Select settings as per your requirement and OK

I hope it helps you if you face similar issue again.

Thanks.

I've been monkeying around with customizing tool bars and I don't know what I did but the tool has reappeared.  No, I'm serious.  It wasn't there earlier today. Woohoo!

Here's what you can follow:

  1. Open the PDF that you want to convert in Acrobat.
  2. Go to the "Tools" menu, then select "Text Recognition". A dropdown should appear.
  3. Then, select "In this File".
  4. Set your desired OCR settings and then hit "OK".

The OCR process will then take a few moments. After completion, your file is now an OCR PDF. You can now edit, search and highlight the text of the file.

Please note that the original scanner resolution must be at least 72 dpi or higher. If the document is not already in the correct language, you can adjust the language:

  1. click Adobe Acrobat Export PDF in the right pane, then check the document language recognized just above the Convert button.
  2. If the language selected is not correct, you can change it.

Make sure to save your document to keep the changes.

I hope it works for you.
