Emmet not working

Emmet is not working in Dreamweaver CC 2017. Can anyone help?

It works fine for me.  Are you working with error free code?

No there are no errors. I am doing a tutorial that and they use shortcuts like---

.col

then

shift

that will give you <div class="col"></>

It does nothing for me. So was wondering if I am missing a check box or?

Tab key.  Go to Preferences, Code Format.  Is Emmet turned on?

I have the very latest version CC 2017.0.1. on Win10, 64 bit.  I am not having any problems.

That said, in the previous version of CC 2017,  Emmet did not work inside the Code Inspector panel.  But it worked in the regular Code view panel.

I have the same versions and I am working in same view. Huh had trouble with device preview and my firewall as well. Maybe I should rethink this.

When DW starts acting up, the first thing to try is Deleting Corrupted Cache

Just tried your 2 suggestions and neither worked. I guess I will just have to live without it. Don't like it but may have to contact Adobe for the third time.

Be careful with snippets, if you want to work with emmet in Dreamweaver. I deactivated my snippets, without knowing I had, and emmet didn't work. Ms. O'Shea's advice to restore preferences within Dreamweaver, worked for me. Thanks, regards Gary.
