Is it possible to get the CC-License for photographers cheaper if i already own a lightroom 6 license?
Unfortunately, there is no such offer.

No there isn't.
Be advised that both LR 6 and CC are exactly the same program. Same download and same files get installed on your system. The difference is how you Sign In to the program.

Yes, but some of the tools available in the CC version are not in LR 6. For example, Dehaze.

And what does that have to do with the topic of this thread

You said that "both LR 6 and CC are exactly the same program”. That is not quite true. And, it may mislead the OP to think that there is no point in getting a CC license if he already has LR 6. My clarification has as much to do with the topic of this thread as your comment does.

You are wrong. It is the exact same program. The differences come from how you sign in.
Sign in with an Adobe ID that is associated with a subscription plan it becomes the CC version.
Sign in with an Adobe ID that is not associated with a subscription plan and it becomes the 6 version and you are asked to input a serial number.
The CC version gets new features that by some law can't be included in the stand alone version. But with every update those new features are installed on but versions. But they are disabled on the stand alone version.

Well, right now the stand alone version does not have Dehaze, Guided Transform, and other features that the CC version has. And, it is not a given that there will be a new stand alone version. So, right now, the two programs behave differently. So, while you are correctly describing the reason why one version does not have the same features as the other one, in spite of the underlying code being the same, you are missing the key point that the two programs do not behave the same, and therefore are not the same, from the user standpoint, which is what is important here, because a user will make a choice based on the behavior and features of the program, not the underlying code.

Nice point Rafael,
When I responded to an advertisement for buying Lightroom 6 it said that I would get the latest version and would also get free updates for the first 12 months. Does that mean I have been cheated of those updates that are already available in Lightroom CC?

No. You get all the updates that add new camera and lenses as well as all the bugfixes.
However, you don't get new features and CC functions.

Interesting that this arrangement was not mentioned at the time of my purchase. In any case, where are these updates that you mention. I seem to have been provided with a bog standard version 6 and when I go to Help and Updates it does nothing, just fades away.

Usually LR shows a message when an update is available. It can also be updated from the Help menu.
For some people this seems not to work stable.
You can always download directly from here: Download Photoshop Lightroom

No they are different.....the difference is I already paid for LR 6 and can't update it to CC unless pay full price.

This is kind of an old thread, but there isn't really a "full price" for Lightroom Classic CC. It's a subscription program that you pay for ongoing either monthly or annually. There's no way to discount it for ANY previous version of Lightroom. Those who subscribed to Lightroom CC 2015 didn't get any discount when moving from Lightroom 5. It's a decision you'll have to make. Do you want to subscribe and have the benefit of having the latest Lightroom and Photoshop or not? It's really that simple. Additionally, Lightroom has gone beyond version 6. It is now at 7.3.

Deborah you have made a reply to a thread that is a year old.
You could of gotten LR CC 2015 back when you bought LR 6. All you had to do was subscribe to the Photographers Plan Subscription.
You wouldn't of paid the $79 upgrade price or the $149 Full version price and you would of gotten all the upgrades of new features. You would of also gotten the newest version LR Classic CC V7 and to top it off you would of also gotten Photoshop.
But back to your assumption that LR 6 and LR CC 2015 are 2 different programs. They are not. The same exact files get installed on your computer. When there was an update to LR 6 it also worked for LR CC 2015.
Yes you already paid for LR 6 and that entitled you to use all the features that were included in LR 6 when it was originally released. It also entitled you to any Update of bug fixes and new camera and lens support. But what the cost of the stand alone LR 6 didn't include was upgrades of new feature or or a completely new version.
Just like when you bought LR 5. Did you get a free upgrade to LR 6? No. Why because it was a new version.
