problem saving to Lightroom from Photoshop

I have cc on i Mac late 2013 Captain 10.11.6. Have had cc lightroom/photoshop for 6 months and lately I can not save PSD or JPG. back to lightroom.   I find it in Finder but it grayed out. I was looking as some of the other forms and found one simular  problems. some suggested to use open in smart objects?  anyone with same problem? and suggestions to solve this?

I'm a Bridge/ACR guy so I'm not of much help. From what I remember, though, when doing round-trip editing with Lightroom, you should be using Save, not Save As. If you use Save As, the resulting file doesn't show back in Lightroom (until you add it to the catalog yourself).

Opening an image as a Smart Object has the advantage of being non-destructive; any edits made can be changed later on.
