Sound Issues

Hello, Im having a problem importing sound into a project. The sound is music from a download that works in itunes but doesn't work in premiere and I don't know why. All of the files are .mp3 and it will take some but now all. The music will work but it's stuttered and doesn't go the full length of the song.

Convert them to wav files and then import into Premiere Elements.
