PREMIERE PRO CS6 No playback in program or preview

I have been editing on CS6 for several years. Last week playback stopped in preview and program.  I have rebooted, emptied out drives, created new projects, opened old projects, checked and rechecked all items in Preferences. I even did a system restore, all to no avail. It's not the video card.  Could it be a driver or a codec?  If so, how do I check?

Good afternoon.

Yep. Got it fixed. Figured out it was the fire wire connection to the Sony DVCAM HDV that was causing the problem.
