How are you going about running adl? Expected use is that you'd open a command window first, then execute adl from there, which will keep the window open after adl exits. That'll also let you view any error messages adl might be printing.

I, indeed, first open a command window (Start/Run..) and then
write the following command text: "adl AIRHelloWorld.xml" and
then I execute. But the opening window does not remain open,
but gets closed right away after popping up, so I do not have change
to see any error messages.
And I did everything what was instructed in the manual (Adobe® AIR™
and concerning the "Setting Up the Adobe AIR SDK and Command-
So, what am I not seeing correctly?
To open a command window, enter just "cmd" in the Start/Run... dialog. That'll open a new window; run adl from there.
Thank you, indeed the "cmd" as the command was lacking - no air adl functions right!
