cannot incorporate apple photos to lightroom

  Select choose & I get this message: Your selection does not appear to be an iPhoto library. (The importer plug-in expects version 9.5.1 or newer.)

Yet I have the latest version

So, in the title you say "Apple Photos" which is not iPhoto, it is an entirely different application. If you really have Apple Photos and not iPhoto, there is no automatic way to import the photos into Lightroom.

I believe there are people who have successfully (and manually) imported their photos from Apple Photo into Lightroom, but you'd have to search these forums for instructions.
