i need help figurin out how to cut a certian thing out and put it on a blank piece of paper

I was curious as how I would take per-say a single number off of a layer and put it on a completely different set of layers

Can you post a screenshot to give us a better idea of what you are dealing with?

I am not sure exactly what you are asking, but you can drag a layer from one open file to another.  Also, you can save a layer as a new document by Right-Clicking on the layer and under Destination choose New.
