I want to export the actual text that I've highlighted in multple places in a pdf using the Highlight Text tool in acrobat 9 standard. I know i can copy and paste individual blocks of text in the pdf to a Word file, but I want to export multiple blocks of highlighted text all at once into a txt or Word file. Can it be done? Thanks.

There's an option to create a comments summary in Acrobat, but did you enable the option to copy the highlighted text into the comment? If not then that command is not going to work. However, there is still hope. You can use a script to copy the text retroactively.

For example, this script I've developed can do it: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Retroactively Copy Highlighted Text into Comments
