Android 4.2 is over four years old. Is there any point in updating software to run on such an old OS that's used by 6% of the Android userbase?
My question was: what is exactly in Clip that requires 4.4 and cannot work on 4.2. If you cannot comprehend a question why bother answering?
Although there's just 0.2 difference in the version number, KitKat (4.4) was massively different from 4.2 (Jelly Bean), starting from the runtime environment upwards, including better memory optimisation. The API is also far different in 4.4.x.
If you're as smart as you'd like to think, why not upgrade the tablet to 4.4 and then install Adobe Clip?
Since you mentioned that you are installing it on LG tab, I would like to let you know that Premiere Clip is not yet supported on Android Tablets.
