Difficulty in comparing text content of two images

Hi,

I am trying to run OCR on two identical images having similar text content.

Acrobat is able to run the OCR but not able to recognize the characters properly. e.g. sometimes '(' and ')' are recognized as '/' and '\' resp.

While comparing these images after OCR, sometimes compare tool is creating small segments and compares it as image instead of comparing its text and displays "image replaced" message.

I want to take two identical images, run OCR and compare all the recognized text.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
