    Markup

    glennaj280556

      HI all,

I am proofreading a PDF and I am using Acrobat Reader Pro DC

I can't find the insert symbol. I thought it was were the other Text symbols were, but it's not there.

What I would really like to do is place all the editing toolbars across the top menu if this is possible.

I also can't find the pencil to use for markup. Can anyone help?

      Thanks so much,

          Hi glennaj280556,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Could you please confirm the Adobe application you are using.

There is no Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro DC application. It should be either Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

Both are a different application. Adobe Reader DC is a free service.

If you are using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, you can use "Create Custom tools" under Tools in the application.

For markup, you can use the Comment tools.

          Regards,

            Hi Meenakshi,

Thanks for the reply. I think my problem is that I am new to this and had to fiddle with the program to get used to it.

However, sometimes the function for inserting new text magnifies the markup so that I can't use it (it's too big, takes up too much space and doesn't show where the new text should go). So, I resort to using the pencil markup and comments. Anyway, I am getting there.

            Thanks again,

            Glenna
