Hello everyone

lets start with some tips for those who don't know, and then my question.

when we move a clip with the mouse and drop it on a different clip - we basically overwrite the clip that is there beforehand and put the clip we are dragging instead.

By adding the ctrl button after starting to drag the clip we can insert our clip anywhere without overwriting - all the clips will slide to the right (like using the , or < key from the source)

if you want to switch places - and here comes my question - between 2 clips you can do that in 2 ways:

1. instead of ctrl, press ctrl+alt and move your clip to the new place you want it - and the other clip will move backward or forward

(for exampe 1   2   3   dragging 1 after 3 and you will get  2  3  1  with no gap)

2. press ctrl before you click/mark the clip and you will get the same result.

my question: is there any difference between 1 and 2?

That's interesting. I didn't know you could do that.

Ann, yes the icons are different, but the result seems to be the same, whis is what has prompted the question.
