Audio is out of sync with video after saving a project

    june62

Audio is out of sync with video after saving a project. I have a PC, using Windows 10. I have no problems editing and creating a video from a standard movie, except on playback the audio precedes the video by about 1-2 seconds on every scene. I have tried various video  and audio resolutions and formats with no success, including AAC, WAV, MP3, and MP4, MPEG-TS. Would appreciate an solution to this issue.

      Thank you.

What model of camcorder is your original footage coming from and what format and resolution is this video?

This issue is most common with non-camcorder video that uses a variable frame rate.

The movie is non-camcorder. I don't know the format but it is a high-def movie that I down-loaded from the net.

Please download the free program Media Info and open your video in it.

Set Media Info's View menu to Tree and copy the information to this forum. This will give us the information we need in order to help you.

Steve,I hope this is the info you requested. If the problem is a variable frame rate, can Adobe Premiere create a clip in which the audio and video are in sync?Harry

Variable frame rate. Just as I suspected.

The easiest solution is to convert the file to a new MP4 using the free download Handbrake. Use the specs MP4, 1920x1080 at 29.97 (or 30) fps -- and Constant Frame Rate.

The video you output from Handbrake will work perfectly in Premiere Elements.
