I have masked this globe out of another video and would like to know how to change it's color so that all the red on the globe becomes blue and the white parts of the globe stay the same color.
note that the globe is animated and is orbiting

Are you new to After Effects. The Effects>Color Correction>Change Color or Effects>Color Correction>Change to Color may be what you want. It all depends on the what the shot looks like. How consistent is the color? Without a screenshot it's really hard to give you more direction than I have given you. You can just drag a screenshot of the video to the reply field on this forum or print screen and paste.
If you are new to AE then plan to spend a couple of hours learning where the switches are and

i was able to change it easily with the instructions u gave, thanks a lot
yes i am new/a noob to after effects, i knew theres color correction options but couldnt find 1 that did the trick
