The develop function does not appear in my lightroom 6

The develop function does not appear in my lightroom 6 purchased from Best Buys in Issaquah WA and inatlled last September. It worked fine for several months but now the develop function no longer appears in the menu. What happened? The program is now useless to me.

If you hit 'D' while having a photo selected in library, does it switch to the Develop module?

Or, what exactly happens? A screen-capture may be helpful too.

Right click the menu (Library | Develop | etc) and enable the Develop module.
