    How to get geolocation intent to open iPhone map?

      I am using phonegap build.

      config.xml

          <access origin="geo:*" launch-external="yes" />

          <allow-intent href="tel:*" />

          <allow-intent href="geo:*" />

      * above is not inside     <platform name="iOS"> </platform>

      This works in Android but not on iPhone:

      <a href="geo:38.897096,-77.036545">open map</a>

      Same for this:

      <a href="geo:0,0?q=street address, city state">open map</a>

      The iPhone has Apple Maps, the Android phone has Google Maps.

      NOTE: <a href="tel:telephone"> the tel intent makes phone calls on both Android & IOS

      Do I have to do something different for IOS?

      Does the geo intent only work with Google maps?
