I have Adobe CC and use Lightroom. It worked always perfectly, but since this week, I get the message "Adobe photostop has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."  when I open LR. And then it automatically signs out. It seems to be opening, but after about 20 second, I get this message. I already tried several advices I read on different forums: updating to the latest version (2015.8 now), and signing out and in from Adobe CC. Already tried renaming the preferences files to .old, which also didn't work.

Using Windows 7, on a Hp computer.

Anyone an idea what to do?

Since you already tried some things to no avail, I'd remove and reinstall LR.

Don't forget to reboot before and between removing/reinstalling.

If you need, you can download from here: Download Photoshop Lightroom

Since LR6 there's no need to rename the preference file. See here for a more 'elegant' method: Resetting Preferences in Lightroom CC/6

It worked! I had tried reinstalling before, but without the reboot. Apparently, that did the trick. Thanks!
