I've had a few problems with AE before but have come up with some workarounds however, I cant wrap my head around this one problem...
Colorama is one of the basic effects you use for making multicolor gradients right? But for me it one day just didn't work. When I apply the effect on a shape it only shows one color, not a gradient just plain red. I can change the color by using the wheel, however, It never becomes a gradient. I love this effect and I use it alot I just don't know what has happened. It becomes even more strange when the problem persists when I reinstal the program. I have even downloaded pirated versions only to realize the problem still exists.
I get that this is hard for someone to resolve but I'm desperate.
I bet it'll work better if you precompose the problem layer.
Oh and just FYI -- it's probably not the world's greatest idea to admit in an Adobe forum that you run pirated Adobe software, y'know?
Well I tried that too and it didn't work... This is just strange and it doesn't seem to have a clear solution. I wonder if there is some setting being left on my computer when I uninstall the program. Is there any way I could erase all AE files on my computer?
The Adobe CC Cleaner tool.
And Colorama by itself won't make a gradient. You need some gradation of color before you apply it. So apply a Gradient Ramp or Fractal Noise or something before Colorama.
