I'm trying to target all table in an imported word document. The way it was build in word was to put tables within table for some tables. So, if I'm using:
every table of every story
it selects all the first level tables, but not the tables within those tables. I have some table that have table within table within table too. I've also tried:
repeat with k from (count of every story) to 1 by -1
repeat with j from (count of table of story k) to 1 by -1
set mytable to table j of story k
and I get the same result as with every table of every story. So how do I get to the ones within tables?
see my answer here ( sorry, it's all ExtendScript ):
I hope, you are able to replicate that with AppleScript.
It requires a TEXT search for special character "<0016>" and a loop through all the characters found to feed an array.
Nested structures of arbitrary depth can be searched. Also non-active states of MultiStateObjects.
Note: You have to check some of the preferences of TEXT search if you want to find something on master spreads, hidden layers, locked layers and in footnotes.
