I am doing a major transition from Aperture to Lightroom.
Just realized that the when clicking on the thumbnails in Aperture a completely different master file is accessed.
Does Lightroom create a whole new .jpg file from the master when performing the import?
Trying not to have the same problem I'm experiencing in Aperture coming over to lightroom.
Thank you.
I don't use a Mac, and have no experience with Aperture.
But all the work you do in Lightroom is done on previews, and the original is never touched.
And these previews are not available to use by Aperture.
The Library previews are created on import, and Develop previews are created in real time.
The only way to create a whole new file in Lightroom is by exporting.
