When opening Indesign, this message box : "Do you want to start automatic recovery?" appeared. I could not click on any of the tabs with the spinning wheel going on non-stop, so I force quit. It shown the Indesign is not responding.
I tried uninstall and reinstall the app and it is still the same. I am using Mac OS X Yosemite Ver 10.10.5.
Would appreciate if someone could help me to solve this.
Try resetting your InDesign preferences:
Close and relaunch InDesign, and IMMEDIATELY hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences. you must be extremely fast on the keyboard (if you don’t see the confirmation prompt, you were too slow)
You may have to do it a couple of times before you get the hang of it!
If that doesn't work:
Uninstall InDesign, using the drop-down in the Creative Cloud app (see screen shot), then run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems before reinstalling InDesign.
