Issue applying presets from Bridge to After Effects

I get error messages that the preset files in Bridge are unsupported when I try to apply them in After Effects.  I've read on other forums that this has been a problem with previous versions of the program.  My programs are recently installed and up to date.  I'm stuck..

You can apply text animation presets from the Effects and Presets panel in After Effects.

Just make sure you go into the Animation Presets folder at the top.

And, if you're not seeing the animation presets, make sure you enable "Show Animation Presets" by going into the "hamburger" menu in the panel:

Then you should see the * Animation Presets folder. When you twirl it open, you should see a bunch of folders including one labeled Text. And when you twirl that open, it should look something like this:
