I have recently had some issues with Lightroom for the first time ever!
There were a few times it wouldn't import photos saying the files were corrupted.
I had to restore the catalog from a back up to try and sort that out.
No longer having import issue, now there seems to be a problem with exporting files.
When I try to it says "The file appears to be unsupported or damaged".
The file is clearly not damaged when I look at it in finder.
So I don't understand why it's no longer supported.
I feel like my copy of Lightroom is perhaps corrupted somehow.
Or that in restoring to a back up catalog something has gone wrong.
Does that happen?
Any advice on what to do much appreciated!
I am on a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro (with a new SSD drive) running El Capitan Version 10.11.6 .

You say you have a NEW SSD.
Why do you have a New SSD?
How did all your data get from the old SSD or rotating drive to the NEW SSD?
What exact File Types are we talking about? RAW, JPG, TIFF?
Can you work with them in the Develop module?
Do you see a question mark or exclamation mark on the images?
State the exact version NUMBER of your Lightroom. (Go to Help->System Info)
State the exact make and model of the camera that took these photos (and also state if they are JPG or RAW).
