MAC Mini with OS X 10.10.5, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015.
I am working for a translation company. Sometimes we are receiving PDF files instead of the original editable InDesign or Illustrator files. Trying to edit the PDF files I noticed that they can be edited. However, in some cases it is quite hard to edit lots of text in PDF. It is quite limited. I recall few years ago I used a third party application which allowed me to export a PDF as XML, translate the file and then importing it back into PDF. Re-arraging translated text was quite easy.
I noticed that Acrobat Pro DC has this option to Save As or to Export as XML. However, how do I import/convert the XML translated file back to PDF? I found no option for that.
You need a programm which creates a PDF file from the XML file.
PDF files are not suited for translation purposes. You need to get the file format used to create the PDF, translate the texts in it and then generate a new PDF from it.
