          I don't work for Lynda.com, but I have a hunch.

Lynda.com has been producing training videos for a looooooong time.
Back in the day, before Flash video became so popular, QuickTime was (I'd
say) the best way to deliver video on CDs and over the Internet. So they
built QuickTime into their production workflow ... and there you have it.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

That's just a wild guess. Of course, it simply be that they prefer
QuickTime over FLV, just like someone prefers Coke over Pepsi, or vice
versa. They also produce tutorials for Microsoft Office, and those videos
are also done in QuickTime, as opposed to, say, Windows Media (WMV) files.

Should they use the video format of whatever company owns the software
          they're training on? ;)
