Our current company Internet (hosted internally) is very outdated. As I search options - and would prefer not to go the route of MS Sharepoint and would also prefer to host in-house, is Muse even an option? My goal is to create a fairly simple internet with Quicklinks to document on our server as well as hopefully a social/interactivity section to post events and share in-house news. Does Muse have this functionality? Thanks!
Muse does not have any dynamic components and on an Intranet you will not be able to resort to external widgets for security reasons. One way or another you will have to put up with some sort of dynamic system, even if it isn't Sharepoint. That being the case, you might just as well get over your dislike and just use what via your server software you already may have. Putting up with other systems will be just as daunting, unless you have the money to contract a specialist for it.
