Audio streams to flash on the fly

I am wondering if it's possible to take any audiostream (asx, or pls) and put it into a flash file on the fly?
Example, the Sony PSP has a built in radio player based on flash, but it only allows preset stations to be heard, what if you could take ANY online station and create a flash file that can be played on the PSP or even PS3.
The idea is to allow users to visit a friends site - http://pspradio.co.uk and or play their favourite station on their ps3, instead of just the psp.
Sony don't seem to be in any hurry to add radio functionality to the PS3. Seems strange as it would add more to the ps3's media reportoir. But I digress, does anyone know if it can be done?
