Hello everybody. I have Windows 10, & I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements on my Windows 10 operating system. According to the Readme. txt, it said that Adobe 10 won't operate because the OS is different. It just works with Vista (Windows 7), & other OS. It also tells me that I have to get Shockwave 11.& I can't use Shockwave 12. I have a real copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0, genuine. I have the serial number too. Since I've had Windows 10, Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 won't operate. It even has installed the icon on my desktop, & when I press it, the program doesn't load. I looked at what bit it is, this version of Windows 10, & it says that I have 32 bit. Idk what's happening. According to the Readme.txt, it just works with Vista, Mac, & other OS. I don't believe that it works with Windows 10 OS because it's a brand new OS. I think it worked before. It worked before I did the system restore. I don't know what's happening to where it doesn't even open the program now. So, what does this mean? Do I have to get the most recent version of Adobe Photo Elements? How do I get this program to work on my computer again?
An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10... works for some, not for others
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)
-or more on permissions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2293598
NOTE - Win10 anniversary update version 1607 has caused MAJOR problems with old programs, so the above may not work
