Why won't text show in my running head?

I am trying to add the author's name in my master pages running head. However, it won't show the text visibly. I can only see the text when I move it down to where the main body would be. When it goes above that main magenta rectangle (i'm new to the terminology, sorry) I can't see it all. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

Master page content is not included into epubs..

Thanks for your response. What actions do I take to make it visible? I should also note that I can view footers perfectly fine.

I suppose that the paragraph has an alignment to baseline grid. I would recommend to work (or create) a paragraph style for the head which is NOT aligned to baseline grid.
