    Where is info about orientation and rotation stored in lrcat?

      Hallo,

      I try to load the jpg data from lrprev.

      Can anyone please tell me where in lrcat the information about the orientation or/and rotation the the user set in develop settings is stored in the lrcat database?

      Or is the necessary information stored in lrprev file?

      Thank you

      Regards

          Ok, found it.

          it's in database-> mycatalog.lrcat table -> Adobe_images, column -> orientation.

          As far as I can see, there can be used AB, BC, CD and DA as values.

          You can imagine a rectangle with 4 corners A,B,C and D.

          The value in column orientation seems to represent the side that is bottom.

          That means:

          • AB -> rotate 0 degrees
          • BC -> rotate 90 degrees clockwise
          • CD -> rotate 180 degrees
          • DC -> rotate 270 degrees clockwise or 90 degrees counter clockwise

          Hope this helps someone else

            There are more possible values.

            When an image is mirrored horizontally, the letters switch places

            When an image is mirrored vertically, the oposit letters are the values

            Image mirrored vertically -> DC

            Image mirrored horizontally -> BA

            Image turned 90 degrees clockwise BC -> mirrored horizontally -> CB

            and so on ...

            Hope this helps
