    A to Z indexing

I'm creating an interactive pdf for a guide to equine supplements.

I'd like to have an A to Z index running across the top of the page that users can click on and jump to a section start - A, B, C etc. but I cant work out the best way to link these, if they are hyperlinks I think I need to put in a specific page numbers, but the page numbers will be changing as new supplements are added under each letter! is there a way of grouping pages?

You do want to be using hyperlinks.

A hyperlink does not have to have a page as its destination.

Instead, insert a hyperlink text anchor at the beginning of the A section, B section, etc. It will appear inside the text (if you show invisible characters) as a kind of weird blue colon.

Then, link up the letters to their appropriate hyperlink text anchor.

This way, if anything reflows, the anchor will move along with the text.
