Turning off Mac's sticky keys only for Adobe programmes?

This is probably more of an Apple question, but I just wondered if anyone else used Mac's System Preference for Sticky Keys to avoid repetitive strain while typing. Once you use it in conjunction with a tablet in InDesign and other Adobe programmes, however, the sticky keys are a hindrance because once you have dragged your objects, for example, the alt key remains pressed. The only option is to turn sticky keys on and off by pressing the shift key five times, but that's not exactly wonderful for my hands either (plus I tend to skip back and forth between different types of work). I wondered if anyone had had any experience with this.
