liquid layout in FW? Png format?

    r_tist Level 1
      Hi,

Would you conclude it is best to create a "liquid layout" via %s vs. pixels? Or would you just stick with a fixed or absolute dimension of 1024 x 768 pixels?
So, my next question is how can one create a layout in FW via %s if they are not available?
Also, the dialog pop-up upon launching the application recommends a png document for web layouts. Is this what everyone uses in FW?

Your advice and recommendations are much appreciated.

      Thank you!

I prefer fixed width layouts, no wider than 960 pixels.

Use Fireworks to create the graphics for a web page, not the web page
itself. Use Dreamweaver to build the pages with the graphics you have
          exported from FW.

PNG is Fireworks native format. Your graphics must be exported from FW
before using them in web pages. You can choose from a number of export
formats, including PNG, JPEG and GIF.

Don't even think of such things in a Fireworks context. As Linda says, do
the graphics in FW and the rest in DW.
