IDML file corruped

After export the design file with XML structure as an IDML file. the IDML file not getting opening. How to fix this issue.

Hi,

Export as IDML and open that and save again.

If this does nt work, save as IDML without opening the file. This is possible via script.

If this does not work use your latest backup.

Hi,

what exact version of InDesign on what OS?

Is there an error message if you open the IDML?

Without seeing the document I see no chance that anybody can help.
It might be that the InDesign document is already corrupted.

Two things you could try:
1. Save the document to a new name with Save As.

2. Move all pages to a new document and proceed from that.

If that will not help you could try a divide and conquer algorithm.

Save your document two times with new names using Save As.

First document delete the first half of the pages, second document delete second half of the pages.

Always do a Save As after removing the pages.

Now try to export to IDML each of the documents.

Go on with the divide algorithm until you single out a page or a range of pages where you see the problem.

Then tackle the problem by removing objects on the page.
