Several issues with menus not working in adobe animate

My school has adobe cc and I am using adobe animate as a relatively new user, with extensive experience with illustrator and photoshop.

I cannot save or close animate files except by using save all.  None of the buttons work on closing menus and some options don't work within animate e.g. tagged colour button menu opens but I can't change options - I just have to escape each time.

I am also having problems closing animate - continually have to go to task manager...

These are serious issues - is this common?

I am using a pc with windows 7..

Regards,

Steve

Hi again,

The problem is not with things appearing but making them work... or close...

I have problems with changing settings for tagged colours, converting to

symbols, and most importantly with saving and exiting animate.

Here is a screen recording...

Right, the video includes a clue. Look at every time you click, the cursor jumps up and left of where you had it on the screen. Would be entertaining trying a click down and right of where you want, to see if you can predict how much the cursor is going to jump.

But, it is unusual that it's only affecting click and not drag. After selecting things on stage the cursor also jumps up and left, but the right things were selected.

Hi, thanks for taking a look Colin.

No, it's not a cursor issue. It may have looked like the cursor was moving

in different positions, but that was more me being frustrated...

When I hover over the key it highlights directly but when I click it simply

does not work....

I have to escape. 'Save all' does work.

I have checked through my computer files and the it manager aty school has

not uni stalled a previous vrsion of adobe flash. I am assuming that may

be the reason and will know when he uninstalls . I cannot uninstall myself

as administrator privileges are needed.
