A flattened graphics file from Adobe Photoshop can easily be imported into Premiere Pro and can be used in the Essential Graphics panel. Follow these steps:

  1. Choose File > Import
  2. Import the file
  3. The graphic is imported
  4. Drag the layer to the Essential Graphics panel to the desired position

Import a multi-layered Photoshop into the Essential Graphics panel by doing the following:

  1. Choose File > Import
  2. Import the .PSD as Individual Layers
  3. A bin of the layers is imported
  4. Drag each layer to the Essential Graphics panel in the same order as they were in Photoshop and to the position you want in the hierarchy of the graphic composite

You are now free to stylize and animate each layer of the Photoshop file as you desire.
