Passing session variable from HTML to Flex Session

    FlexNovice
I have header panel in which there are two links, one for US Currency and one for Indian Currency. If I click on either, the value, and the commas for the numbers change in the content panel - which is a flex object. That is how it should ideally behave.

I have been told by my programmers that it is not possible to put the currency link in the header panel as the flex session cannot read the session of the html page. We are designing the backend in PHP, the fontend in HTML/Flex. I can set the values of 1 USD = 50 Indian Rupee at the back end using CMS.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this from the header panel which is a html panel? So that the changes get reflected in the content panel which is a flex panel?

      Thanks in advance.
