    Rotating 2D bottle

      Hello,

I'm new to After Effects an took upon a task to showcase a bottle (the bottle is drawn in illustrator).

I want the bottle to do a 360 showcasing the label.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it a lot!

There is no such thing. It's just a flat layer. You have to use a 3D program to create genuine 3D geometry and throw your label as a texture onto it.

You could make a graphic that shows the front and back of the bottle like you were going to print a label. Then you make an illustration of your bottle wihout a label.

Now you import both images with the label on the top layer. Then you add CC Cylinder to the label illustration, set it to render outside only and rotate the label to make it look like the bottle is rotating. With careful alignment you can do a pretty good simulation of rotating a bottle.

By far the best way to create the effect is to model the bottle in a 3D app and apply textures but you can certainally fake it with AE.
