I'm wasting a lot of time on software for the countless revisions of my thesis ...
On one hand I need Word to keep the citations editable.
On the other hand, every 2 months I have to make a printed report. the images are too many and need constant update, so I have to use indesign. (I don't know why my Word 8/10 times won't let me replace images). In architecture Word is not really enough for layout.
But every time I have to re-make the whole indesign file. In between if I find anything i need to correct, I have to do it both in the indesign file and in the word file.
Is there a less inefficient way of doing this? If only word files can be linked and updated like the images...
Use InCopy instead of Word.
You could use exact the same Paragraph Style names, but there is always a gap as Word has not the same typographic capabilities and cannot handle professional image file types.
does incopy work with citation software like Endnote?
