Hey there have been looking around the net, does anybody have any pointers re: AE fixing the issue of expressions resolving to "?" when they encounter a special character? I thought Adobe had announced that they had fixed that... ?

Thanks.

If a layer in my comp is called "↖first"   ie. special character, and another layer references this character in an expression,

it breaks... this is how it resolves if I pickwhip etc.

thisComp.layer("?first").effect("Slider Control")("Slider")

Yes, I'm sure I read somewhere it was fixed or was being dealt with a long time ago . . . on Region of Interest blog or something. Thanks. A.
