Fiber Filter Bug in PSE 15

I have noticed a new bug in PSE 15 involving the Fibers filter. Open a new file, make a new layer, make a selection on that layer using the Ellipse marquee tool then go to Filters and apply the Fibers filter. PSE 15 freezes. Works fine with a rectangular marquee but freezes on the elliptical marquee. Tested on 2 different computers with 2 separate copies of PSE 15, same problem. Also happens if you make a shape (star, ellipse, etc.) then do a ctrl click on the shape layer icon to make the selection, then go to new layer and try to fill that with Fibers, PSE 15 freezes. Used to work fine in earlier versions of PSE. Any ideas?

Hi George,

We have following two workarounds for this issue:

1. press ESC or Command-Period to cancel the filter

2. use this filter from filter panel

You can use these to escape running into hang.

Also, we would be fixing this issue in the next release version of PSE.
